Applications for Partners in Policymaking Now Open

Partners in Policymaking is a program that prepares parents of children with disabilities and adults with disabilities to be effective advocates at the state and local level. Over 30 states in the U.S., have a Partners in Policymaking program, including Maryland.

This year the Maryland Developmental Disabilities Council has provided The Arc Maryland with a $100,000 grant to manage the Partners in Policymaking program. The program consists of 9 sessions beginning in August 2019 through June 2020. Each session will focus on such topics as legislation, person-centered planning, education, housing, and more. Speakers include experts from national, state, and local levels.
