Steins and Wines

Columbia Builders is hosting a Steins & Wines fundraiser for The Arc of Howard County on June 8, 5-7 pm, at its model home in the Lakeview at Buckskin Ridge community at 4272 Buckskin Wood Drive, Ellicott City, MD 21042.

Microbrews, summer beers and a variety of wines will be available for tasting, along with other refreshments. Admission is $50, which can be paid below or at the door the evening of the event. Proceeds benefit The Arc of Howard County’s vocational and residential support and services, respite care, and other programs and services for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Columbia Triathlon

The legendary Columbia Triathlon will be held May 23, 2010, at Centennial Park. Team Embrace will be racing and raising money for The Arc’s programs and services. A portion of the proceeds from the race are donated to The Arc by Columbia Triathlon Association, headed by Robert Vigorito, a member of The Arc Board of Directors. Celebration of Excellence: Annual Meeting and Awards

The Arc’s Celebration of Excellence: Annual Meeting and Awards will be held May 20, 2010, 7-9 pm, at The Bain Center in Columbia. This annual event recognizes individuals and groups who put the mission statement of The Arc into practice and promote an inclusive environment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. To nominate someone for a Celebration of Excellence award, fill out the Nomination Form and submit by March 7, 2010. For information, contact Cathy Hiett, 410-730-0638, ext. 242.

The Iron Girl Triathlon

The Iron Girl triathlon will be held August 22, 2010, at Centennial Park. Team Embrace will be racing and raising money for The Arc’s programs and services. If you are interested in volunteering to help with this event, contact Volunteer Coordinator Linda Congedo.
